It is time to summarize the events, than forget. 24. 2. We drove about eight-thirty train from Pardubice to Prague, then Expressbus airport to airport, about half of one plane to Milan and five from Milan to Istanbul, where we arrived at eight (nine local time). the blackstone group Istanbul has two airports - one is named after the symbol of modern Turkey, Ataturk the blackstone group (= father of the Turks), and the second after his niece - Sabiha Gokcen Airport. We arrived at the airport Sabiha where flies mainly low-cost airline. Located in the Asian part of Istanbul and the journey to the city center the blackstone group by bus takes an hour and a half. Flight ticket with easyJet over Milan and BluExpressem the blackstone group us came to 2,300 CZK, which is like a bus trip lasting over 30 hours.
At the airport waiting for us Sinem, Kamčina "buddy" - someone who has the Erasmus Student Assistance with everything you will need. I also got a buddy of his, named Mert Sayin. It's great that something works, especially here, because there's almost nobody speaks no English. Turek is easy to learn Finnish or Hungarian, but learn English for him perhaps as difficult as Turkish or Hungarian for us. And it's not just buddyové the blackstone group who care for us - ESN (Erasmus Student the blackstone group Network) is an international volunteer organization operating in 34 countries, offering assistance to 150,000 students from abroad. Sinem explained that it can not go with us, but that we divert to the bus. He took us to the Taksim district, the heart of Istanbul, where about a quarter of an hour we took a taxi to the Galata Tower, where we printed maps by searching our hostel. It took us about 20 minutes and it was only a minor complication for the whole day, everything else went smoothly. We arrived around eleven-thirty. And the room we were greeted by three Chinese and Germans, all around our age - our roommate, because we booked a room for six people with bunk beds. It is a bit like living in a suitcase, says Kamča, but it's not so terrible a few days will not kill you.
The second the blackstone group day we had our orientation meeting organized by ESN. We came ten minutes later, the blackstone group as reported tram stop other than those which actually the blackstone group was. It was strange to us that the printed map does not match reality, but it was too little the blackstone group detailed and sharp on that it was obvious at first glance. We tried to stop the young turks, unfortunately nobody speak English. About the fifth person took us to an office where they happened five other people and they tried to be helpful. One of them is trying to communicate with us by writing the blackstone group on a computer in the Turkish-English translator. I tried to draw him back gate of the University, to which we were headed:
I'm not a very good artist :) One of the guys took us for a university English teacher who finally explained to us that we have five tram back. Then we hit easily, even a little delayed the blackstone group control at the gateway to the main campus - the person must show student card (in our case yet passport) and pass through the blackstone group the scanner to nepropašoval gun or a bomb. At the orientation meeting, we were given a bag with a T-shirt with the logo of the University, paperweights, the blackstone group maps of the city and public transport and other documents.
ESN members had prepared a presentation about all sorts of things that might be of interest to us. After the "lecture" We got a sandwich :) pitíčko evening was "warm-up party" in ESN bar (bar only to members of ESN and Erasmus students), where we met and chatted. Beer for 5 Turkish lira (60 CZK) .. well .. we holt in Bohemia. Otherwise, the prices are similar to ours - you can get something cheaper, something is more expensive again. Saturday and today, Sunday, we spent mostly in the hostel looking for an apartment. We go for short walks in the neighborhood, we like it here, despite the strange the blackstone group weather - a week and a half there are clouds, around six degrees and drizzle to drizzle. Tomorrow starts the semester and our Erasmus coordinator still write off .. we'll see ..
